The ultimate suspension, by BOSE?

Did you know that Bose (Yes Bose) made one of the coolest suspension systems for cars but you've never heard of.

Matter of fact Bose first started working on a electromagnetic suspension system decades ago. Bose wanted a system that could sense the road, keep the vehicle perfectly level, and provide an ultra-smooth ride. As you can see in these video's Bose was able to accomplish that, but was unable to put it into production. The Bose electromagnetic suspension was too heavy and too expensive.

So, after years of R&D, Bose eventually sold its technology to a suspension company called ClearMotion, which aims to get the tech out to low volume cars in the next few years. Market research show that the adaptive suspension system market will see huge growth by 2025; what does it all mean for us common people?

Hopefully a smooth ride in the future.

One of the biggest complaints we often hear at PartsPro.PH is, "matagtag ang ride ng auto ko" or "ano mga suspension na available para mas smooth ang ride ng auto ko?". These are things we hear on a daily basis and since Bose's electromagnetic suspension system isn't available for the masses as of yet, here are some options we've got to improve the ride quality of your car.

Tein EnduraPro/EnduraProPlus are a great option for those on a budget or is looking to replace their OE shocks/struts. Designed to use with the vehicle's original (OE) spring and upper mount, its lower spring seat is shaped identical to the OE shock absorber. In addition to replacing worn or leaking OE dampers, these products are excellent to improve specs like ride quality or handling without changing your ride height.

Tein EnduraPro/EnduraProPlus features Hydraulic Bump Stopper (H.B.S), internally convert the impact of the stroke to thermal energy (heat) and absorb it, strongly reducing the impact that disturbs the vehicle's behavior. With less damage to the dampers, H.B.S. also contributes to their durability

TEIN EnduraPro comes with fixed damping while the TEIN EnduraProPlus gives you the option to adjust damping depending on the road conditions.

Now if your looking for a comfortable ride and at the same time want the ability to fully adjust your suspension set up then the KW Street Comfort Coilover is the way to go.

KW Street comfort coilovers takes the already stellar ride and reputation of KW suspensions coilover systems to the next level of comfort. Designed specifically to maximize comfort KW Street Comfort coilovers provide a subtle lowering with adjustable ride height and rebound damping adjustability allowing the handling or the comfort to be individually tailored as desired via the integrated rebound adjustment knobs. KW Street Comfort coilovers offer the perfect compromise of driving dynamics and ride comfort

As with all KW coilovers their engineers develop vehicle specific damper settings which undergo comprehensive testing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and in our KW 7-post Driving Dynamic Test Center. With a KW coilover kit the driving experience is more dynamic and direct. With the rebound adjustability on the KW Street Comfort coilovers you can have more direct influence on the handling or comfort of the car. With 16 precise clicks you can adjust the KW dampers (firmer or more comfortable) without affecting the the compression damping fine tuned by KW engineers.

Since the Bose electromagnetic system will take sometime to trickle down to the general public TEIN and KW suspensions are a great alternative for those looking to get a smooth ride. We all know the roads here in Metro Manila aren't the best so consider these options if you'd like a smooth and more comfortable ride.
